Exploring some art materials

There are so many materials and mediums available out there, but how do we know which ones are the perfect ones for us or our little ones? Art is a wonderful way for our children to express themselves and let their imaginations go wild! Let’s explore and experiment with different mediums we can use to color and create beautiful works of art.

First things first, let’s make a plan of what we would like to color on, what our budget is, and what our preferred medium is. For this experiment, I have decided to compare two different brands per medium. They are: Faber-Castell Oil Pastels vs. Crayola Oil Pastels, Creatology Jumbo Crayons vs. Crayola Jumbo Crayons, and Crayola Colored Pencils vs. Derwent—Coloursoft Colored Pencils. In addition to this, I decided to do a bit of exploring with some digital drawing. For this experiment I will be coloring a narwal drawing that I first drew digitally, then printed on regular paper.
